This autumn, Atelier des Lumières dives beneath the ocean to showcase exceptional photos by Brian Skerry. Outstanding photographer for National Geographic since 1998, eleven-time award winner in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, and a consultant and contributor to numerous ocean conservation foundations, Brian Skerry’s primary purpose is to produce visual stories that celebrate the beauty of marine life and encourage its preservation.
“Ocean Odyssey” is a fantastic, immersive experience that takes you on an unforgettable journey through the mysteries and wonders of the underwater world. The exhibition takes us through the warm, cool, and cold seas photographed and explored by Brian Skerry over four decades. Countless wildlife species are featured, from tiny reef creatures to sea turtles and majestic killer whales; from dolphins and sharks to polar seals, “Ocean Odyssey” reveals our ocean planet through intimate visual moments.
With more than 10,000 hours spent underwater over the past 40 years, these moments, preciously captured by Brian Skerry, celebrate the sea’s wonders, while highlighting the environmental problems that threaten our submarine worlds. Created by Culturespaces Digital in collaboration with the Spectre Lab studio, the experience invites us to discover the beauty of the Earth’s oceans, which remain largely unexplored.
