The experience
The Turkish collective Nohlab was awarded the First Prize at the Immersive Art Festival on 24 October 2019. THE IMMERSIVE ART FESTIVAL IN PARIS was held from 18 to 24 October 2019 at the Atelier des Lumières. Devoted to immersive digital design, it presented works by some of the most influential artistic collectives in the world of the digital arts.
Journey is an experimental journey whose theme is the genesis of photons, one of the primary elements of light. The journey describes how photons pass through all the layers of the eye (the iris, the vitreous humour, the optical nerve, etc.) until they reach the neurons and are converted into electrical signals. It describes the process by which photons are transformed into a form of energy that is perceptible by the brain.
Nohlab is a studio that specialises in the production of interdisciplinary experiences around art, design, and technology. It creates a link between digital technology and our reality, while questioning the link between technology, art, and design. It creates tools, models, and stories in which the link between man and technology takes different forms.
